Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts announced the opening of a new property in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Four Seasons Hotel the Westcliff, Johannesburg occupies the former Westcliff Hotel, and underwent a $56 million redevelopment to become a Four Seasons property.
The hotel has 117 guestrooms and suites that are spread throughout nine different buildings. Each room has a private terrace or a garden patio.
The property has five dining options, including View, which specializes in seafood, meats, and local and regional seasonal produce; Flames, which features local barbeque and craft beer; Cellar Door, which offers local wines; Apres-Spa, with a menu featuring wines, fresh juices, and light dining; and Westcliff Deli, which pffers coffee, snacks, salads, and sandwiches.
The hotel also has a spa with nine treatment rooms, ice fountains, saunas, and steam rooms. Two outdoor pools are also located on the property, as well as a 24-hour fitness center.
The property has 15,683 square feet (1,457 square meters) of meeting and event space, including the 6,620-square-foot (615-square-meter) Arcadia Ballroom.
The Four Seasons Hotel the Westcliff Johannesburg is located on eight acres (three hectares) of landscaped gardens residing on top of a hill. The property is also situated next to the Johannesburg Zoo and several golf courses.
